My current project is...

..A crochet clutch but with a twist of beautiful pattern/stitch which I just learnt  last week.A Mermaid Tears aka Crocodile stitch crochet!
I joined the last minutes CAL(Crochet-A -Long) contest which was organized by my favorite crocheter, Aisyah Helga.
As soon as I finished one of my friend's order I know I need to take a break for a week before proceed to start another order.
I was so excited to learn  new pattern, it looks complicated*at the first sight* but once you know how to do it, it's actually quite simple and easy to follow.Since I only had 2 more days to go*minus the three days practicing and there're errors here and there*,
Finally I completed a small clutch with the requested pattern!

This is the inside space of the clutch.
I am happy enough to be able to join the contest and again congratulation to the winners! You guys deserve to win with those gorgeous colors combination and perfect craft-work!

DIY Tote Bag Made from Yarns.

My latest project, a Tote Bag with a twist of chopstick!haha.
I bought two bulk yarns with different color so I decided to turn them into a simple tote bag.
What I added on this project is a pair of chopstick. I attached it on both of the opening of the bag for an extra support and style.

The yarns are sturdy enough so additional lining inside can be done as an option.

Ava insisted to put her doll along with the bag.

I would call this bag as a Chopstick Tote!

and at the same time, a pair of crochet-ted hat also completed.
The beret is made from Japan Merino wool while the beanies is from the cotton blended combine with viscose yarns.

I hope this new owner would love it.:).

Mariposa

I have this idea to crochet a mariposa*butterfly* when our crochet fb group decided to start a bookmark or handphone strap Swap project among the members.

The first thing I thought is making a butterfly applique as a bookmark.

So I had been searching for high and low on "the" pattern from internet which I can easily follow and ta daa!!The 3D Mariposa bookmark is ready! Can be use as a handphone strap as well.

From there I am inspired to do another small project,a necklace made from cotton yarn with  Mariposa theme. It's just a simple design yet adorable.I was excited when it was completed..who knows that I could design something cute like this!

"Phewww.."

Probably for other crocheter*regarding to this pattern*,the first trial is already at their finger tips but not for me.It took me a few times and lots of trial and error on making the foundation to make it complete like a beanie.Which is only today that I managed to follow the instruction correctly. Before this I kept on missing the calculation and ends up turning into some other thing.

Yayy to me for getting this done, finally.

New yarns,new hooks;))

Have I mentioned that I obsessed about yarns and hooks???

My hunger of this obsession has been feed "again" when I received these.
Two bulk of super sturdy RedHeart yarns and my new Clover hooks!

I can't wait any longer to start making something with the yarns and using the new crochet hooks so I decided to make a tote bag out of those and it is still progressing.

We also organized our house for the *I lost count..* time and I got my own home office aka command centre.:).
Yayy I finally have my own work area!Flo and Ava also have their own so that her toys doesn't go into my box or Flo's thumb drive doesn't ends up inside Ava's cooking stove.

Amure Clover Hooks

From curiosity on trying different types of cloth diaper, babywearing to yarns and just recently,I am hooked to try different type of crochet hooks..

Recently I purchased a new Clover edition of crochet hooks.

The Amure Clover 4mm hooks.

Obviously on the first try,I could feel the different compare with my previous hooks when it ran through the yarns. The newly improvised Grip is so comfortable to use!

The Amure crochet hooks had a firm solid grip soft touch finger to fit.The Grip is made of three dimensional curve and this type is supposed to reduce fatigue when crochetting for long hours as it designated to reduce the extra power on gripping the hooks.

My hands are trembling to add another size of Amure but need to restraint myself..not till my other type of Clover hooks arrive:p.

Evening Clutch(sort of)...

So... I managed to steal some time to make this simple clutch for a Christmas gift to someone so dear to me.*It's good to be back with my hooks, missed them so much!*

It's a kind of an Evening Clutch.
I purposely make a ruffle style for the opening of the clutch with two pearl buttons on each side.

Ta..da!!

1 down, two more to go*crazy over the Lollipop color!*..my 1st plan is to make a scarf out of these but the material seems quite stiff to the touch so probably another clutch or amigurumi?? I need to shop more cute buttons!*Just another reason to do online shopping:P*

Yarns madness!!

Yes I am obsessed over colorful yarns ! Some are to keep and some are selected to do custom made for  X'Mas gifts to family by end of this year. (and I am not "yet"planning to sell my handcraft.)

These 9 months of pregnancy felt quite fast for me as I had this crochet obsession(tough at the same time I couldn't stop whining with all the sickness).Just hope my obsession would still be there permanently  after delivery since I have another 4 must do projects until Christmas comes.

My current project, a baby poncho with buttons, one of my fav:)).

Fluffy Mail in da house!

I received a small parcel yesterday:)..

Finally they are here! The crochet hooks with plastic handle! I never thought it would be easier for getting these kind of hooks, luckily I spotted  Amani's post where she's selling them in limited stock.
I am loving the cover handle, no more feeling like grabbing a thin needle when using a smaller hook size.

Upacara perasmian..lol!
I made my first amigurumi with the new hook. It's way comfortable to use with the cover handle especially for long hours crocheting.

Ta daa..my first heart shape amigurumi!

~I LOVE YOU~

Somehow I hate to see at the red, green, blue colors heart with pink. I tried to make a rainbow color just like one of my crocheter friend did but it turned out quiet fugly!haha.

Another finished project, another hats..:)

It seems I kept on doing the same thing during this month. Well practice makes perfect and thus I am enjoying making these and my skill couldn't be far more improving than the last time.

Merino + Polyamide  yarns. Suitable for making a good beret hat since it's quite a stretchable yarn.

Now added with a brim so that it doesn't look like a scrub cover anymore.:)

So here's the story, I actually plan to add a rose crochet on the beret but according to Flo it looks quiet of a "Carrie Bradshaw" look from the Sex in The City.(More like a drama queen).
Then I made another flower which was simpler and I actually agreed with Flo after seeing the end product.
I am loving my big red rose so I would convert it into a corsage!
(The rose didn't permanently attached, thankfully I only used a clip to attach it with the hat)

Despite of my mood swing and tiredness this last few weeks of pregnancy, I manage to make two hats in a week.
A french hat beret which hubby requested and I am glad he loves 'em. It is understandable he still not brave enough to put it on in front of the public.LOL!

And here's our Ava was dancing while putting on papa's hat.

A Farewell Gift for Yong and Hagen...

Nine months back they were moving just beside our house(Semi D attached with ours) and now they will be moving to Australia by next week!!!uwaaaaa!!!
Too bad I didn't spend enough time with Yong due to my on off pregnancy thingy.

Anyway I made a farewell gifts for both mom and son, just a simple gift to show how grateful we were to have known such a sweet and helpful friends like Yong and Jerry even it's only a short period of time .

A beanie for handsome Hagen and a pair of glove for Yong.

To Jerry's family, have a safe journey and embrace the exciting new life that would come upon the three of you and good luck for the future undertaking!!!
Psssttt, we already planning to visit you guys by next year..hehehe.

My current body at 30 weeks...

Looks like I already put lots of lots of extra fat and I don't dare to know my current weight!(Not till my next check-up)

Camwhoring with my 1st own DIY beret hat...the workmanship was not perfect at all but still, I love it since the yarns are so soft and comfortable to be worn. And the back length is just nice to cover my rough and scratchy  neck(my skin allergic is the worst during pregnancy).

Type of Yarns : Pink - 150g Cotton Lycra
                       Golden Brown - Viscose
(Both are summer yarns type which is suitable to be worn with our tropical weather)
Hook : 5.5mm with double strand yarns.
Time length : 3 days to complete finish it.

It took me three days to finished it off.(after I left my beanies hat project uncompleted)
Single flower with bead in the middle to complete the look of the beret.

Combining Lilac and Pink color from Metallic Cotton yarns.(4.5mm needle)

Model to determine a sizing for toddler. Seriously I cannot take a nice pica with this girl.haha.
